Plain terms for a free tool. By using StatementEasy or choosing a file, you agree to them.

1. The service
StatementEasy converts bank statements, card statements and bank files into spreadsheets and accounting formats, and adds tools such as balance checks, insights and exports. It is free to use. We may change, add or remove features, and we may add paid plans; a free way to convert statements will remain.
2. Your files
Only convert statements that you own or are authorised to process — your own, your company's, or your clients' with their permission. You keep all rights to your files and to the converted results.
By choosing a file, you allow us to process it as described in the privacy policy: in your browser first; on our server when your browser cannot read it, when you choose to read a scan or photo there, or when you use the API; and, if even our server cannot read it, kept encrypted for up to 14 days only to add support for its layout, then deleted.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use StatementEasy to create, alter or forge documents, to deceive a bank, lender, landlord, authority or anyone else, or for any other unlawful purpose. Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of the service, and do not collect data from it automatically except through the API.
4. Accounts and API
Give accurate information when you create an account and keep your password and API keys secret: you are responsible for what is done with them. The API is shared by everyone: keep to about 60 requests a minute per key and to the limits shown in the API documentation. We may suspend accounts or keys that break these terms or put the service at risk. You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
5. Check your results
StatementEasy checks each result against the balances printed on the statement and shows when something does not add up. Still, layouts vary and text can be misread, especially from scans and photos. Review the result before relying on it for accounting, tax, lending or legal purposes. The original statement from your bank remains the reference. The insights, the lender summary and the document check are aids, not financial, accounting or legal advice; the document check looks for traces of editing and cannot prove that a document is genuine.
6. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or able to read every statement.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Morocode LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from decisions made using converted files. For a free service, our total liability is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
8. Trademarks
StatementEasy and its logo belong to Morocode LLC. Bank names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility; StatementEasy is not affiliated with or endorsed by any bank.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced on the site. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without affecting the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
