Banco de Costa Rica, founded in 1877, is one of the country’s two large state banks. Its statement prints Fecha, Documento, Concepto, Débito, Crédito and Saldo, with amounts like 1.234.567,89.

Choose Hide under Account numbers in Table settings before sharing the file with an accountant or a landlord.
Marchamo and once-a-year payments
The marchamo, Costa Rica’s annual vehicle tax, and other yearly charges do not show up in a single month’s statement. Drop a year of BCR statements together and the Recurring sheet separates monthly bills from once-a-year payments, so you can plan for December.
A state bank in every canton
BCR has offices across the country, and many customers outside San José keep their salary or pension there. Whatever the branch, the downloaded statement has the same layout and converts the same way.
