Attijariwafa bank, Morocco’s largest bank, prints its statements with an operation code in front of each line (like 0016BK), dates written with spaces (03 09), a separate value date and balances followed by CREDITEUR or DEBITEUR instead of a plus or minus sign. In a PDF-to-Excel tool these end up glued together or in the wrong columns. StatementEasy knows this layout and puts each piece where it belongs.
Find your statement in Attijarinet or Attijari Mobile
Attijarinet on the web and the Attijari Mobile app use the same login. Both have a documents area that holds your account statements, together with transaction notices and cheque images.
- Sign in to Attijarinet or Attijari Mobile. Use the same credentials on both.
- Open the documents or statements section. Choose the account statements (relevés de compte), not the notices.
- Pick the account and the month. Each statement covers one period.
- Download the PDF. Save each month you need and drop them here together.
You can also choose how you receive your statements (online or by post) in the app settings. Online statements arrive as PDFs, which give the most exact results here.
Four details of the Attijariwafa layout
- Code and date printed together. “0016BK 03 09” is split into the operation code and the date 03/09. The code is kept in the description, so you can still filter on it.
- The Valeur column. The value date gets its own column, even on lines where it is printed straight after the description.
- CREDITEUR and DEBITEUR. They give the sign of the balance: a debit balance (overdraft) becomes a negative number in your sheet.
- Months without movements. A statement with no operations is recognised as such instead of failing, so a year of statements converts in one go.
Amounts with a space for thousands, such as 2 300,00, are read as numbers in dirhams.
Three totals, all checked
Every Attijariwafa statement prints a Solde départ, a Total mouvements and a Solde final. StatementEasy checks the operations it read against all three, so a missing line or a misread amount is visible before you send the file to your accountant, your fiduciaire or a consulate.
Business accounts and bookkeeping
For companies, the monthly statements are the base of the bank reconciliation. Convert the months you need, then use Reconcile to compare the statement with an export from your accounting software: each line is matched with an entry of the same amount within four days, and what is left over is listed on both sides. The CSV, OFX and QBO exports load into most accounting software, with the date format you choose.
