Banco General, founded in 1955, is Panama’s largest private bank and the bank behind Yappy, the payment app much of the country uses. Its statement lists Fecha, Descripción, Débito, Crédito and Saldo in US dollars, which circulate at par with the balboa.

Filter for “YAPPY” and the Monthly sheet shows what you sent and received each month; for a small seller, it is a sales record.
Thirteenth-month pay
Panama’s décimo tercer mes arrives in April, August and December; the Monthly sheet makes those three extra payments visible.
