QIB columns in your sheet
| On the statement | In your sheet |
|---|---|
| Reference | Reference, its own column |
| Debit / Credit | Money out / money in |
| Balance | Checked on every row |
Matching payments to invoices
Search the sheet for a customer’s reference to see which invoices are paid; the CSV or OFX export carries the references into accounting software.
Financing instalments
Car and home financing instalments recur every month; the Recurring sheet totals them for the year.
Zakat and year-end balances
If you calculate zakat, the Monthly sheet gives the balance at the end of every month of the year. The converter does not work out zakat for you, but it puts the numbers in one place.
Asking the bank about a payment
Quote the reference from the sheet and the bank can find the transaction at once, without a long description.
