A BIAT statement (extrait de compte) lists Date, Libellé, Valeur, Débit and Crédit between a SOLDE INITIAL and a SOLDE FINAL line, with no balance after each line. Amounts are in dinars with three decimals, like 1 234,567. StatementEasy reads them to the millime, keeps the value date and checks that the opening balance plus credits minus debits equals the final balance.

Millimes, read correctly
The dinar has a thousand millimes: a Tunisian statement writes 12,500 for twelve dinars five hundred and 1 234,567 for just over a thousand dinars. A converter built for cents reads these a thousand times too large. StatementEasy sees that the statement is in millimes and keeps all three decimals, right through to the Excel export.
For a visa application
Consulates often ask for three to six months of statements. Convert them together: the Monthly sheet gives each month’s money in, money out and balance.
Salary, rent and STEG bills
A typical BIAT account shows a monthly salary, rent by transfer, STEG electricity and SONEDE water direct debits and card payments. The Recurring sheet lists the bills with their usual amount, and Categories totals each kind of spending per month.
Why there is no balance column
BIAT prints a balance only at the start and end of the period. StatementEasy adds up every debit and credit to the millime and compares the result with the SOLDE FINAL, so a missed or misread line shows up straight away.
