Stanbic Bank Tanzania is part of the Standard Bank Group and is strong in corporate and investment banking, mining, energy and trade finance, alongside its personal banking. Its statement shows Date, Description, Amount and Balance, with money out as a negative amount.

Signed amounts for accounting
Accounting software usually wants either one signed column or two columns, depending on the tool. Your download has Money out and Money in by default; switch to one signed amount under Table settings if your system expects it, and the QuickBooks, Xero and OFX files handle the sign for you.
Whatever the format, the balance check runs on every line.
Shilling and dollar accounts
Companies working with Stanbic often hold TZS and USD accounts. Convert each statement on its own: the currency stays with its file and each balance is checked within it.
An example line
On the PDF: 24/03/2025 PUMA ENERGY -185,000.00 9,804,250.00. In your sheet: date 24/03/2025, money out 185,000.00, balance 9,804,250.00.
Month-end reconciliation
Finance teams can drop a month of statements from several accounts at once; each gets its own tab, and “All files combined” gives one ledger with a File column to reconcile against the books.
