Access Bank (Ghana) is the Ghanaian arm of Nigeria’s Access Bank group and grew quickly through acquisitions in the 2010s. Its statement has Posted Date, Value Date, Description, Debit, Credit and Balance, with each balance followed by Cr when you are in credit or Dr when the account is overdrawn.
StatementEasy reads Cr balances as positive and Dr balances as negative, so an overdraft shows correctly in your sheet, and checks every balance from the opening line.

Cr and Dr balances
Writing Cr or Dr after a balance is clear to a banker but useless to Excel, which sees text. In your download the letters are gone: a credit balance is a positive number and a debit balance a negative one, so you can chart the balance over the month and see exactly when the account went into overdraft.
Debit and Credit columns are separate from these letters: a Debit is always money out, whatever the balance.
Overdraft and loan repayments
If you use an overdraft, the days the balance is negative are the days interest is charged. Sort by balance or chart it to see how often you dip below zero and for how long.
