A Banco de Chile cartola prints the date without the year (05/03), Detalle de Transacción, Cheques y Cargos, Depósitos y Abonos and Saldo, with amounts like $1.234.567.

StatementEasy gives every date its year, reads whole pesos and checks each balance.

Dates without a year

The year comes from the cartola period, including across December and January.

Cheques and automatic payments

Cheques, transfers and PAC automatic payments keep their description.

A line, explained

05/03 PAC ENEL DISTRIBUCION OF. CENTRAL $45.320 $1.218.990 becomes date 2025-03-05, money out 45320 and balance 1218990.

Credit line

Credit-line use and repayments appear as movements; Insights shows each month’s lowest balance.

From PDF to sheet

Dates are completed, the peso sign removed and every balance checked.

What your Banco de Chile spreadsheet contains

Each row of the file is one transaction: the date as a real date, the full description, money in and money out as numbers in separate columns, and the running balance where Banco de Chile prints one. Dates printed without the year come out complete and the peso sign is removed. A first tab summarises the statement — period, opening and closing balance, totals in and out, and whether the check passed — and the Monthly, Categories and Recurring sheets come in the same download.

Using it for cheques, PAC and taxes

Filter by “Cheque” to reconcile cheques, or check the Recurring sheet for PAC automatic payments with their usual amount. For the SII return, convert the year.

Export Excel, CSV or OFX for your accountant.

If something looks wrong

  • A date in the wrong year — dates take their year from the printed period; upload the full cartola.
  • A row does not match — it is highlighted and can be corrected.
  • A credit-line movement — it appears as a normal movement of the account.
