What your Santander Chile spreadsheet contains

Each row of the file is one transaction: the date as a real date, the full description, money in and money out as numbers in separate columns, and the running balance where Santander Chile prints one. Whole pesos stay whole and every balance is checked. A first tab summarises the statement — period, opening and closing balance, totals in and out, and whether the check passed — and the Monthly, Categories and Recurring sheets come in the same download.

Using it for a mortgage or the SII

Banks usually ask for recent cartolas for a mortgage; Insights shows salary and existing loans. Combine the historical cartola with the current month’s movements to cover any period.

For the SII return, convert the year and export Excel, CSV or OFX.

If something looks wrong

• A row does not match — it is highlighted and can be corrected.
• Santander from another country — each has its own layout and page.
• A vista account — read the same way if it has Cargos, Abonos and Saldo.
