What your Bancolombia spreadsheet contains

Each row of the file is one transaction: the date as a real date, the full description, money in and money out as numbers in separate columns, and the running balance where Bancolombia prints one. Dates printed without the year come out complete, and the document number has its own column. A first tab summarises the statement — period, opening and closing balance, totals in and out, and whether the check passed — and the Monthly, Categories and Recurring sheets come in the same download.

Using it for the DIAN return, a loan or renting

For the Colombian income-tax return, convert January to December and total income, health and education payments and the 4x1000 tax paid. Lenders and landlords usually ask for three statements; the Monthly sheet summarises each month.

Export CSV or OFX for accounting software, or Excel for your accountant.

If something looks wrong

• The PDF asks for a password — Bancolombia sets it; the email or download screen says which.
• A row does not match — it is highlighted and can be corrected.
• A Nequi statement — Nequi has its own layout and page.
