Riyad Bank, founded in 1957, prints one Amount (SAR) column on its statements: negative for money out, positive for money in, followed by the balance. Dates are written in English, like 05 Mar 2025.
StatementEasy splits that column in two, turns the dates into real dates and checks every balance against the one before it.

|---|---|
| Amount (SAR), negative | Money out |
| Amount (SAR), positive | Money in |

Why split the amount?
A signed column only adds up to the net change. Split, the money-out total is what you spent and the money-in total is what you received — the two numbers a budget needs.
Dates Excel can sort
“05 Mar 2025” is text to Excel. In the converted sheet it is a real date, so you can sort, filter by month and build pivot tables straight away.
Ramadan and Eid spending
Put a year of statements together and compare Ramadan with the other months in the Monthly sheet; the Categories sheet shows which kind of spending rose.
