Allied Irish Banks is one of Ireland’s two biggest banks, with branches in nearly every town and millions of personal and business customers. Its statement lists Date, Details, Debit €, Credit € and Balance €, starting from a BALANCE FORWARD line and with dates like 05 Mar 2025.
StatementEasy reads every transaction as one row, takes the balance forward as the opening balance and checks that each balance equals the one before minus the debit or plus the credit.
How to download your AIB statement
- Open the AIB app or AIB Internet Banking. A branch can print one too, but the downloaded PDF converts best.
- Choose the account, then Statements. Statements are available month by month; pick the ones you need.
- Download the PDF.
- Drop it into the converter above. You get Excel, CSV, OFX or QuickBooks files in seconds.

| Balance € | Balance, checked |
| BALANCE FORWARD | Opening balance, not a transaction |
Six months of statements for a mortgage
Irish lenders and mortgage brokers usually ask for six months of current-account statements. They look at your salary, your regular outgoings, any unpaid direct debits and how much you save each month. Convert all six AIB statements together and the Monthly sheet shows exactly that, before the lender sees it.
If you are saving for a deposit, the balance at each month end tells your story better than any explanation.
Rent, Revenue and child benefit
Rent paid by standing order, Revenue tax refunds and Child Benefit from the Department of Social Protection each keep their own description. Filter for them to see every payment of the year in seconds, useful for a rent tax credit claim or a social welfare query.
An example line
On the PDF: 12 Mar 2025 ELECTRIC IRELAND 96.40 3,215.30. In your sheet: date 12/03/2025, money out 96.40, balance 3,215.30.
The € sign in the headings
AIB puts the euro sign in its column titles rather than next to each amount. The headings are still recognised, and the amounts arrive in Excel as plain numbers.
