Bank of Ireland, founded in 1783, is the country’s oldest bank and one of its two largest. Its current-account statement lists Date, Transaction details, Payments - out, Payments - in and Balance, and opens with a balance forward.
StatementEasy maps “Payments - out” to money out and “Payments - in” to money in, starts from the balance forward and checks every row.

Bank of Ireland columns in your sheet

| Balance | Balance, checked |
Moving from Ulster Bank or KBC
When Ulster Bank and KBC Bank Ireland left the market, hundreds of thousands of customers moved their accounts, many to Bank of Ireland. If you have statements from both the old and the new bank, convert them together: each keeps its own balance check, and “All files combined” gives one history.
Handy when a lender asks for twelve months that span the switch.
Direct debits and standing orders
Electricity, broadband, health insurance and the rent repeat every month. The Recurring sheet gathers them with the total for the year, so you can see what your fixed costs really are.
An example line
On the PDF: 08 Mar 2025 TESCO IRELAND 84.15 2,940.65. In your sheet: date 08/03/2025, money out 84.15, balance 2,940.65.
Payments in and out, by name
“Payments - out” and “Payments - in” are not the usual words, which is where some converters lose track. Here they are read by their meaning, and the balance check confirms it.
