First Bank statements list TransDate, Reference, Details, ValueDate, Withdrawals, Lodgements and Balance. The value date sits after the details rather than next to the transaction date, and money in is called Lodgements. StatementEasy reads Withdrawals as money out and Lodgements as money in, keeps the reference with the description and the value date in its own column, and checks every balance from the opening balance.

Salary and pension accounts
Many civil servants and pensioners bank with First Bank. To confirm every salary or pension payment arrived, convert the months you need together and open the Monthly sheet: each month’s lodgements are totalled on one line, so a missing or short payment stands out at once.
Statements for a loan or a visa
Lenders and embassies look at regular income, regular payments and the month-end balance. Insights groups the salary credits and recurring debits and lists the large deposits someone may ask about. Use it to check your file before you request the stamped statement from the bank.

Questions
What are Lodgements?
Money paid into the account — deposits and incoming transfers. They become money in.
Is the Reference kept?
Yes, with the description, so you can still trace a transfer.
Can I convert a statement for several months at once?
Yes. Drop all the PDFs together and choose “All files combined”; repeated rows from overlapping statements are counted once.
Is my statement uploaded?
Your browser reads the PDF first. Only if it cannot is the file read on our server, and deleted after reading.
Is StatementEasy made by First Bank?
No. StatementEasy is an independent tool and is not affiliated with First Bank of Nigeria Limited.
