Nubank statement to Excel

A Nubank account statement (extrato) lists each movement with a date like 05 mar 2025, a description and one signed amount — negative for money out — between the opening and closing balance, with no balance after each line.

StatementEasy splits the amount into money out and money in, turns the dates into real dates and checks that the opening balance plus credits minus debits equals the closing balance.

1. Open the Nubank app and tap your account. The statement is in the account area, not the credit card.
2. Open the menu and choose Extrato. Pick the period you need.
3. Export the statement as a PDF.

Pix and boletos as rows

Pix transfers, boleto payments and debit-card purchases each become a row with the full description, so you can filter by name and total them.

Brazilian tax returns and bookkeeping

Convert January to December together for your IRPF return, or export OFX for your accountant if you use the account for a small business (MEI).

Account, savings boxes and yield

Money moved into a savings box (caixinha) appears as money out of the account and comes back as money in when you withdraw it, so the sheet shows exactly what passed through the main account. Yield credits keep their description and can be filtered and totalled.

How the check works

Your browser reads the PDF, StatementEasy finds the transaction table, splits the signed amounts by sign, then adds everything up and compares it with the printed closing balance. A green notice appears when the totals match.

What your Nubank spreadsheet contains

Each row of the file is one transaction: the date as a real date, the full description, money in and money out as numbers in separate columns, and the running balance where Nubank prints one. Because Nubank prints no balance per line, the balance column is calculated from the opening balance, so you can still see how the account moved day by day. A first tab summarises the statement — period, opening and closing balance, totals in and out, and whether the check passed — and the Monthly, Categories and Recurring sheets come in the same download.

Using it for your IRPF, rent or a loan

For the Brazilian income-tax return, convert January to December together and choose “All files combined”: one sheet holds the whole year, with a column naming each source file, so you can find income, health payments or rent quickly. The bank’s own income report (informe de rendimentos) remains the official document.

Landlords and lenders often ask for three to six months of statements; the Monthly sheet gives each month’s money in, money out and closing balance on one line, which is easier to read than the PDF.

If something looks wrong

• The totals do not match — the difference is shown and the likely rows highlighted; correct a cell in the table if needed.
• Only the card bill — the credit-card bill (fatura) has a different layout from the account statement.
• A screenshot instead of a PDF — export the statement as a PDF from the app for an exact result.
