Mexican banks tested on their statement layouts
Mexican statements use a decimal point ($12,450.00), dates often without the year (05/MAR) and columns in different orders: Banorte prints deposits before withdrawals. StatementEasy gives each date its year, reads each column by its header and checks every balance.
Banks
Eight Mexican banks are tested on their statement layouts: BBVA México, Banorte, Santander México, Banamex, Banco Azteca, as well as HSBC México, Nu México and BanCoppel. Others are read by the generic reader. If yours is not, tell us the bank.
Bank by bank
- BBVA México — dates like 05/MAR, CARGOS and ABONOS.
- Banorte — deposits before withdrawals.
- Santander México — Depósitos, Retiros and Saldo.
- Banamex — amounts with $.
- Banco Azteca — one signed amount.

SAT tax returns, loan applications and bookkeeping for small businesses.
SPEI, CLABE and tracking keys
SPEI transfers print a tracking key and reference under the movement; StatementEasy joins them to their line so you can search for them. OXXO deposits, CFE and Telmex payments and card purchases keep their full description.
