Brazilian banks tested on their statement layouts
Every Brazilian bank writes its statement differently: Itaú prints the balance once a day, Bradesco puts credits before debits, Banco do Brasil and Caixa mark amounts C and D, Nubank uses one signed amount and no running balance.
StatementEasy recognises each layout and checks the result against the printed balance — line by line, day by day or by totals.
Banks
Eight Brazilian banks are tested on their statement layouts: Nubank, Itaú, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Caixa, as well as Santander Brasil, Banco Inter and C6 Bank. Others are read by the generic reader. If yours is not, tell us the bank.
Bank by bank
- Nubank — one signed amount, checked by totals.
- Itaú — a balance once a day, checked day by day.
- Bradesco — credits before debits.
- Banco do Brasil, Caixa — amounts marked C or D.

How money moves in Brazil
Pix has become the default way to pay and get paid: transfers between people, payments to shops and many bills. A typical statement is therefore a long list of “PIX ENVIADO” and “PIX RECEBIDO” lines with names, mixed with boletos, card purchases and salary credits.
Keeping the full description of each line is what makes the sheet useful: you can filter by a person’s name or by “PIX” and total a month in seconds.
Who converts Brazilian statements
Accountants preparing a client’s income-tax return (IRPF), small businesses registered as MEI reconciling their sales, people proving income for a rental or a loan, and anyone moving a year of spending into a budget spreadsheet.
