Australia banks tested on real statement layouts
Australian statements print short dates — 05 Mar, 05 MAR, 05/03/25 — with the year only in the statement period, mark balances CR or DR, and end each page with totals and a brought-forward line. StatementEasy gives every row a full date, reads CR and DR as signed balances, leaves the page totals out and checks every balance.
Banks
Seven Australian banks are tested on their real statement layouts: Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, ANZ and NAB, as well as ING, Macquarie and Bendigo Bank. Other banks are read by the generic reader; the balance check shows whether every line was read. If yours is not, tell us the bank.

BSB and account numbers
Every Australian statement prints the BSB and the account number at the top. Choose “Account numbers: Hide” before you share the spreadsheet with a landlord or a broker, and they are masked in the table and every download.
What Australia statements are used for
- Tax return — the financial year runs from 1 July to 30 June; convert those statements together and total deductions or income with the Categories sheet.
- Rental and home loan applications — Insights lists regular income, BPAY bills, direct debits and the lowest balance.
- Bookkeeping — export Xero CSV, or CSV for MYOB and other software.
