Hong Kong banks tested on their statement layouts
For a salaries tax return, a mortgage, a visa application, your accountant or simply a budget, you often only have the PDF statement. StatementEasy converts it to Excel, CSV, OFX, QIF, QuickBooks or Xero files and checks every balance.

Eight layouts, one sheet
HSBC and Standard Chartered put Deposit before Withdrawal; Hang Seng, BEA and DBS put Withdrawal first; Bank of China (Hong Kong) uses Debit and Credit with year-first dates; Citibank prints one signed amount; ZA Bank adds the time. In your sheet each becomes date, description, money out, money in and balance.

Salaries tax and the tax year
The Hong Kong tax year runs from 1 April to 31 March. Convert the twelve statements together and you have one table of salary, rent, MPF contributions and donations to check against your return.
The converter does not calculate tax; it gives you clean, checked figures.
Mortgages and visas
Banks, immigration and schools ask for months of statements. The Monthly sheet shows income, spending and the month-end balance in one table, and you can hide account numbers before sharing.
