Lebanese banks tested on their statement layouts
Since the 2019 crisis many people in Lebanon hold lira, local-dollar and fresh-dollar accounts at the same bank, each with its own statement. StatementEasy converts each to Excel, CSV or OFX and checks every balance — it never converts between currencies.
Lira figures now run into the millions; they are read in full.
Banks
Detailed pages: Bank Audi, BLOM Bank, Byblos Bank, BankMed, Fransabank. SGBL, Bank of Beirut and Crédit Libanais statements are recognised too.
Five layouts
Bank Audi prints two dates; BLOM text months and a brought-forward line; Byblos a signed amount; BankMed a reference column; Fransabank French column names.
Languages
English and French columns are read; Arabic-only columns not yet.
Withdrawals from old deposits
Monthly payouts from pre-crisis deposits under Banque du Liban circulars appear as a recurring line; the Recurring sheet totals what you recovered in the year.
Generator, EDL, Touch and Alfa
The two electricity bills and the phone bills are grouped in Recurring, so the real cost of running a home is one number.
Money from the diaspora
Transfers from family abroad keep their description; the Monthly sheet shows what arrived each month.
Questions
Can lira and dollar accounts go in one sheet?
Convert them separately: balances are checked per account.
