Moroccan statements share a few habits that trip up ordinary PDF converters: amounts in dirhams with a space or a dot for thousands (12 500,00), French column titles with Arabic beside them, an operation date and a value date side by side, and balances marked CREDITEUR or DEBITEUR instead of a sign. StatementEasy reads all of them and checks every statement against its opening balance, its totals and its closing balance.

Banks

Attijariwafa bank and CIH Bank are tested on real statements. Statements from other Moroccan banks — Banque Populaire, Bank of Africa, Société Générale Maroc, Crédit du Maroc, BMCI, Crédit Agricole du Maroc, Al Barid Bank and others — are read by the generic reader, which finds the columns from their positions on the page. The balance check tells you straight away whether every operation was read. If yours is not fully read, tell us the bank: we add layouts that people need.

What Moroccan statements are used for

  • Bookkeeping and fiduciaires — accountants receive statements as PDFs from their clients and need them as spreadsheets for the books and the bank reconciliation.
  • Auto-entrepreneurs and small companies — every receipt of the quarter in one list for the turnover or VAT declaration.
  • Mortgage files — banks look at regular income and monthly charges over several months.
  • Visa applications — consulates usually ask for three to six months of statements; see what officers check.

Getting your statement

Most Moroccan banks put monthly statements in their online banking and mobile apps (for example Attijarinet and Attijari Mobile, CIH Online and CIH Mobile). Download the PDF there: it converts exactly. A statement printed at the branch and scanned also works, with text recognition — check the result with the balance check.

Questions

Can I get the Excel file in French or Arabic?

Yes. On the French or Arabic version of this page, the exported columns are in that language and dates are day/month/year.

Are amounts in dirhams read as numbers?

Yes, whether the thousands are separated by a space or a dot, and with or without DH or MAD after them.

Is my statement uploaded?

Your browser reads the PDF first, on your device. Only if it cannot read it is the file read on our server and deleted after reading. A statement we still cannot read is kept encrypted for up to 14 days so we can add support for it.
