UAE bank statements to Excel

UAE bank statements are in English, with day-first dates (05/03/2025, 05-03-2025 or 05 Mar 2025), Debit and Credit columns and a running balance. StatementEasy reads them day first, keeps the value date where there is one and checks every row against the printed balance, from the opening balance or balance brought forward.

Banks

Six UAE banks are tested on their statement layouts: Emirates NBD, First Abu Dhabi Bank, ADCB, Dubai Islamic Bank, Mashreq, as well as RAKBANK. Other banks are read by the generic reader; the balance check shows whether every line was read. If yours is not, tell us the bank.

Bank by bank

• Emirates NBD — Date, Description, Debit, Credit and Balance with DD/MM/YYYY dates, from the Opening Balance.
• First Abu Dhabi Bank — transaction and value dates written 05-03-2025, both kept.
• ADCB — posting and value dates, starting from the Balance Brought Forward.
• Dubai Islamic Bank — a Narration column and dates like 05 Mar 2025; profit credits stay in the description.
• Mashreq — Withdrawals and Deposits instead of Debit and Credit.
• RAKBANK — a plain Debit, Credit and Balance layout.

What UAE statements are used for

• Visa and residency files — embassies often ask for three to six months; the Monthly sheet lists each month’s salary and closing balance.
• Loans and tenancy — Insights shows regular salary credits and the lowest balance.
• VAT and bookkeeping — export CSV or Excel for your accountant.

Islamic banking terms

Profit payments, Murabaha instalments and similar entries on Dubai Islamic Bank and other Islamic accounts are ordinary credits and debits in the sheet, with their description kept whole.
