Saudi banks tested on their statement layouts
Saudi Arabia has more than thirteen million foreign residents, and almost all of them are paid into a local account. Sooner or later each needs that account as a spreadsheet: to track remittances, to back a family-visit application, or to hand an accountant a year of figures.
StatementEasy reads the PDF statements of the Kingdom’s largest banks — Arabic letterhead, English columns, riyals with two decimals — and checks every running balance before you download Excel, CSV or OFX.
Banks
Detailed pages: Al Rajhi Bank, SNB, Riyad Bank, SAB, Alinma Bank. Banque Saudi Fransi, Arab National Bank and Bank Albilad statements are recognised as well.
What differs from bank to bank
Al Rajhi uses plain Debit and Credit columns; SNB prints a transaction date and a value date; Riyad Bank puts every movement in one signed Amount column; SAB calls them Withdrawals and Deposits and opens with a brought-forward line; Alinma starts from a Previous Balance. Each is mapped to the same money-out and money-in columns in your sheet.
SADAD, mada and sarie in your sheet
Bills paid through SADAD, mada card purchases and sarie instant transfers keep their description, so a filter on any of them gives a monthly total.
Statements in Arabic only
PDFs whose columns are entirely in Arabic are not read yet; most banking apps let you pick English before downloading.
Questions
Can I combine accounts from two Saudi banks?
Yes: drop the files together and choose “All files together”; each account’s balance is checked on its own.
Is my statement uploaded?
Your browser reads the PDF first, on your device. Only if it cannot read it is the file read on our server, and deleted right after.
