Irish banks tested on their statement layouts
In Ireland a bank statement is asked for when you apply for a mortgage, rent through an agent, claim the rent tax credit or deal with Revenue. Most banks send a tidy PDF that is hard to work with. StatementEasy turns it into Excel, CSV, OFX or QuickBooks files and checks every running balance.
With Ulster Bank and KBC gone, almost everyone now banks with AIB, Bank of Ireland or PTSB, plus newer options like An Post Money. All five layouts are tested here.

Five layouts
AIB prints Debit € and Credit €; Bank of Ireland “Payments - out” and “Payments - in”; PTSB one signed Amount; EBS Withdrawals and Lodgements; An Post Money Money Out and Money In. In your sheet they all become Date, Description, Money out, Money in and Balance.
Mortgage applications
Irish lenders typically want six months of current-account statements and look at income, outgoings, savings and any returned direct debits. Convert them first: the Monthly sheet gives the overview, and the Insights panel flags returned payments and large deposits, so nothing surprises you in the meeting.
